Gastroscope - Terms and Conditions
• Horse must have all food taken away at least 12 hours before the appointment is due to start.
• All water must be taken away from the horse at least 4 hours before the appointment
• Horse must not have access to any bedding- straw/shavings/pellets etc. for at least 12 hours before the appointment. Rubber matting is acceptable.
• Droppings must be cleared as often as possible during the 12-hour starvation period. Alternatively, the horse may wear a grazing muzzle to prevent the horse from eating droppings.
• There must be a suitable shelter for the procedure to take place (field shelter or stable) to protect against weather, and to allow the vet a clear view of the screen.
• There must be a suitable mains power supply to provide electric to the equipment.
We ask for payment of the gastroscope to please be made at the time of booking, or if you are making a claim then pleaase contact the office to pay your excess. If payment has not been received 24hr before your scheduled appointment time, your appointment may be cancelled without notice.
I confirm that I have read the above conditons, and I understand that failure to meet these requirements will interfere with the gastroscope procedure, and the vet will not be able to scope the above horse correctly. In the event of this, the full price of £260 will still be charged.
